Yichud Hashem

In the Zohar, it is mentioned for every one of the letters Tav thru Gimel, why Hakadosh Baruch Hu did not start Creation with that letter. Finally, the letter Beth gets its way, and Hakadosh Baruch Hu starts the Torah with the word Bereshit. And it is asked, "What about the letter Aleph?" And the answer is that the letter Aleph gets the merit to be crucially involved with the Yichud of Hashem. Aleph, the servant who humbly gives way to Beth, gets the highest task.

And it says יהי אור, "let there be Light." This is the pinnacle of Creation, the highest "substance" is the Light. It is the Light that comes out of the Yichud of Hashem. It is the only "thing" that exists in Creation that actually comes from the Creator. It is the Light that exits from Hakadosh Baruch Hu and infuses the Creation, flesh from His flesh, so to say. It is the אור of Moshiach, the humble servant, especially in the time of Aleph, which is the time of יהי אור.

Without the Light, there would not be a nature of Life. In this Light, we have the certainty of Life, of intelligent Life, a human Life, a loving kind of Life. Just as Hakadosh Baruch Hu is in love with us, and yearns for us, we are in love with Him, and yearn for Him. He is the reason for our existence, and he is the goal of our existence, and that existence will go to a higher plane, and will forever go to a still higher plane. All of the rest is Perush. Go and learn it.

Chag Sameach!
